HomeTown Bank provides a competitive, well-rounded benefits package for our employees.

All employees working 30 hours a week or more are eligible to enroll in HomeTown Bank’s health & dental insurance plans following 90 days of employment. The bank currently pays 70% of the premiums. Major medical or HCSP options are available for eligible employees to choose from. Dental insurance is available to all full-time employees at a 100% employee-paid cost. Aflac plans are available for all employees to participate in.

Long Term Disability Benefit plans are available to all full-time employees and paid 100% by HomeTown Bank.

Life Insurance is available to all full-time employees and paid 100% by HomeTown Bank after 90 days of employment. The life insurance benefit is approximately (3) times the employees’ annual salary with a maximum of $200,000.

We accommodate our employees with paid time off for vacations, illness, maternity, caring for or the loss of a family member. We offer generous PTO plans, funeral pay, holiday pay and a short-term disability plan where employees earn 5 days per full service year up to 65 days maximum.

Eligible employees have the option to contribute pre-tax dollars to both a healthcare and daycare flexible spending account.

Some of the responsibilities of this position include assisting customers with the bank’s products and services, opening new accounts, and processing transactions.

The ideal candidate will be detail oriented, outgoing, and have strong computer and communication skills.

HomeTown Bank, a 9-time Star Tribune Top Workplace, is now hiring a part-time teller at their Waconia location!

As a member of the front-line staff, the Teller will be expected to have adequate banking knowledge to answer questions for customers, accurately complete banking transactions and balancing procedures, direct customers to appropriate bank personnel when necessary, and providing quality service to customers.

Duties include:

  • Accurately process customer transactions including checking/savings deposits and withdrawals
  • Process cashier checks, loan payments, savings bonds
  • Verify account balances
  • Maintain and balance the cash drawer according to performance standards
  • Access safe deposit boxes
  • Answer phones
  • Maintain customer confidentiality
  • Perform job following all regulatory, compliance, and company policies and procedures
  • Acquire and maintain knowledge of bank products and services
  • Other duties as assigned
