Luke, one of the co-founders, attended Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter. While in school, Luke continued his passion for brewing beer – a craft he had been exposed to throughout this upbringing. Erik, a close friend, was one of the lucky first tasters of Luke’s creations and jokingly suggested they should open a brewery together. Dave shared, “I think it’s really important as a taproom, as a company, to both partner with organizations. In a lot of ways, it’s always a win-win both for them and us.”

“I think one of the biggest things for Paddlefish Brewing to embrace here in St. Peter is community, family, and highlighting local artists – musicians, painters, sculptors, etc.,” said Dave. By collaborating with local creators, Paddlefish brewing reinforces the notion that the brewery is an integral part of the town’s cultural fabric.
