That’s why we’re proud to share that we’ve received support through the Federal Home Loan Bank of Des Moines (FHLB Des Moines) Member Impact Fund, a matching grant program created to strengthen the places we call home.
The Member Impact Fund helps connect community banks with local nonprofits to support affordable housing and meaningful community development efforts. It’s a partnership that brings lasting impact to the neighborhoods we serve.
This year, HomeTown Bank received two grants through the program, and we’re excited to share how those funds are being used locally:
- Ridgeview Foundation received a grant to support its cardiology department with the purchase of a NAEOTOM Alpha CT machine. This advanced imaging technology allows for quicker, more detailed diagnostics and will enhance Ridgeview’s ability to deliver high-quality cardiovascular care.
- River’s Edge Hospital and Clinic received a grant to assist in the purchase of a new ambulance, helping ensure that emergency care remains timely and accessible for the St. Peter community and beyond.
“The River’s Edge Hospital Foundation members appreciate the generous donation from HomeTown Bank. It means so much that the team at HomeTown Bank thought of our Foundation as the beneficiary of this donation,” said Stephanie Holden, Chief Experience Officer at River’s Edge Hospital. “The Foundation supports River’s Edge Hospital in its efforts to provide safe, quality and individualized care to our communities. Ensuring that the Emergency Medical Service has functional and safe transport for patients is an important piece of this mission. The funds received from HomeTown Bank will be used toward the purchase of a new ambulance for the EMS department at River’s Edge Hospital. The new vehicle will arrive sometime in 2026.”
These grants are more than financial support. They’re a reflection of what’s possible when dedicated organizations work together with a shared commitment to community.
