A fireman to a branch manager and vice president: it’s a unique career transition. “I had been a firefighter full time for about ten years, and it just seemed like something was missing; I didn’t like not being home with my family as often as I’d like,” said the new Branch Manager and Vice President of HomeTown Bank Jordan, Ryan Nash. “I wasn’t looking to change careers at the time, but I came across the posting for the Branch Manager position and I immediately jumped at the opportunity. It’s a lot different than fighting fires, but it still allows me to help people in a time of need.”

Before becoming a full-time firefighter, Nash started his first job in banking as a personal banker at a large financial institution. “I quickly discovered that this banking stuff really clicked with me, and I truly enjoyed it and getting to know the customers I worked with every day!” Ryan exclaimed. Over the next 11 years, he advanced his banking career in retail and commercial banking before stepping away to pursue helping people in a different way as a firefighter.

“We are very thrilled to have Ryan Nash join our leadership team as the manager our Jordan Branch,” said Bob Southworth, President of HomeTown Bank. “Ryan will be replacing Jodi Bristlin, who will be transitioning to a new leadership role within HomeTown Bank. Jodi has worked and excelled in various departments within HomeTown Bank making her a perfect fit to join our operations leadership team.”

Getting to Know Ryan

Q: What excites you most about working with HomeTown Bank and the Jordan community?Ryan Nash - Jordan Branch Manager

Ryan: I am very excited to be a representative of HomeTown Bank! I had heard so many great things about the bank, but the culture was a driving factor for me. Our culture sets us apart from other banks. We pride ourselves on building solid relationships with our customers, who are names to us and not just numbers. I would say HomeTown Bank is definitely a “diamond in the rough” in the financial world, and I’m excited to continue to bring our HomeTown Bank culture to the community of Jordan and surrounding areas.

Q: What can customers expect from you as HomeTown Bank – Jordan’s new branch manager?

Ryan: I want our customers to feel at home when they walk through the branch. They matter to us, and we take the time to really get to know them and their situation. Being a Jordan resident, I’m excited to represent HomeTown Bank during many of the community’s fun events. I enjoy networking with many of the local business owners and look forward to building these new relationships to continue to build the community of Jordan.

Q: What are some of your passions outside of the bank?

Ryan: In my free time, I enjoy traveling, golfing, working out, and “taste testing” at local wineries and breweries. Most of my evenings and weekends typically entail running around to my kid’s sporting events – lacrosse, volleyball, football, and dance.

No matter your financial need – a new home purchase, expanding your business, building a new deck, purchasing your first car – Ryan Nash will always demonstrate the successful behaviors of “great customer service” and “customer relationship” mentalities. With this mentality, you are sure to feel taken care of. So, if you see Ryan next time you walk into the bank or out in the community, feel free to say hello! Or, if you want to speak with him directly, feel free to email him at [email protected] or call him at (952) 358-2558.
